Feel Your Gem — Resist & Unite — Mini-DV, Event Film, 4 min, 2024
A radical BIPoC* and FLINTA*-led takeover of club space through Hip-Hop, Ballroom, House, and exhibitions on black & latinx, queer, trans, diasporic resistance and dance history.
Shot on Mini-DV and mixed with archival material including old Ballroom tapes, footage of legendary clubheads and excerpts from Slingshot Hip Hop. The film also documents a visual map of FLINTA* Hip-Hop rappers across the United States and Palestine as part of the exhibition.
